Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time special education teacher with certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) is needed to provide individualized academic instruction and sign language interpreting services for a student served in his home. This unique role requires working closely with the student and other therapy providers in a home-based setting near Cochran, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive academic instruction tailored to the students individual education plan (IEP).
• Provide sign language interpretation for additional therapies and vision instruction sessions.
• Collaborate with therapists and other service providers to support the students overall development.
• Maintain accurate records of academic progress and communication services.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the students evolving needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Certification or demonstrated proficiency in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
• Skilled in American Sign Language (ASL) and interpreting for educational and therapeutic settings.
• Experience working with students in home-based or individualized settings preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Location:This position is based in the students home near Bleckley County Primary School in Cochran, Georgia.
