Job Title: Research Assistant

Job Description

As a Research Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of our clinical research projects. You will assist coordinators with a variety of tasks such as administering electronic self-assessment questionnaires, managing check-in processes, overseeing informed consent signings, and assisting with instrumentation and photography. You will also be involved in administrative tasks, including preparing test materials, making appointment reminders, and quality checking study documents. Your work will align with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, applicable regulations, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily clinic tasks to support study coordinators with procedures like ESAQ administrations and check-in processes.
  • Assist in the preparation and conduct of studies through tasks such as test material preparation and quality checking documents.
  • Develop study paperwork under the guidance of coordinators.
  • Ensure timely attendance at the clinic for all assigned studies.
  • Maintain compliance with GCP guidelines, applicable regulations, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and panelists and maintain respectful interactions with peers and leadership.
  • Comply with safety and Operational Integrity procedures and processes.

Essential Skills

  • Previous medical experience required (e.g., MA, Phlebotomy, Spa experience).
  • Experience in dermatology is ideal.
  • Previous lab experience to facilitate training on equipment use.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and study protocols according to GCP guidelines, applicable regulations, and SOPs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BS degree in a Science discipline (e.g., Microbiology, Health Studies, Biology, Chemistry).
  • Interest in Cosmetics.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment within a cosmetics research office. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. However could work anywhere between 6a-6p. Some studies will require 8-hour shifts while others may require 12-hour shifts. If working a 12-hour study, the following day will be a shorter day. Could be require to work weekends as well for a study. The role routinely involves the use of standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
