Your Role:

As a Waste Collection Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transportation of waste and recyclables. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

• Operate a commercial roll off vehicle along assigned routes to customers and disposal sites
• Deliver, transport and/or unload container with materials at designated locations/dump site
• Return container to original location
• Operate electronic devices to log/report information
• Communicate with dispatch personnel
• Report delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to management
• Reporting all container related issues and needs to dispatch and management
• Keep truck and associated equipment, clean, safe and in good working order
• Perform truck inspections pre and post trip
• Safely collect commercial waste/recyclable materials from designated locations
• Safely operate all vehicle controls for lifting and loading
• Safely operate compacters to dispose of material
• Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations
• Ensure that all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a CDL driver, preferably in the waste management industry
• Knowledge of local geography and road networks
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to operate and maintain waste collection vehicles and equipment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and operating heavy equipment
• Shifts may vary, 40+ hours per week (overtime available)
• Must be able to safely lift and move 50lbs or more at a time
• Able to sit in trailer cab for extended periods of time
