Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, supporting students in resource room and self-contained classroom settings. This full-time onsite role, based in Grand Blanc, MI, requires a commitment of 35 hours per week and focuses on serving diverse learners within an urban district environment.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload of up to 22 students, primarily in self-contained classrooms, though caseloads may vary from early learning (pre-K and up) through K-12. The role emphasizes individualized instruction aligned with Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) and IDEA federal regulations, ensuring compliance and promoting student success.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate in Special Education, preferably with endorsements in Learning Disabilities (LD), Emotional Impairment (EI), and/or Cognitively Impaired (CI).
• Early Childhood endorsement (ZA) in addition to one other special education area is advantageous.
• Experience working with urban student populations, demonstrating understanding of their unique challenges and appropriate resources to support students and families.
• Familiarity with state and federal special education regulations, including MARSE and IDEA.
• Ability to manage self-contained classrooms and resource room settings.
• Full-time availability for approximately 35 hours per week.
• University transcripts and Michigan teaching certificate must be submitted prior to consideration.
• Comfortable engaging in remote interview processes.
