Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and load residential, commercial, and industrial waste and recyclable materials according to established routes and schedules.
• Operate and assist with waste collection vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Inspect waste containers for proper disposal practices and report hazardous or prohibited materials when identified.
• Follow all safety regulations, procedures, and traffic laws to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
• Maintain cleanliness of collection areas by removing litter and debris during waste collection activities.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding route changes, equipment issues, and service concerns.
• Assist in unloading collected waste at designated disposal, recycling, or transfer facilities.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on waste collection equipment and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service when interacting with residents and businesses regarding waste collection services.
