Social Worker/Clinician - I/II

Placer County is currently accepting applications for Social Worker/Clinician - I/II. This is an exciting career opportunity with an excellent county offering a great place to live, work and play!

Placer County Health and Human Services is currently recruiting permanent and extra-help/temporary Social Worker/Clinicians and Child Welfare Workers in Auburn and Roseville. Assignments are in the following service areas within Adult System of Care and Children's System of Care divisions:

  • Child Welfare Services
  • Emergency After-Hours/Child Protective Services Response
  • Perinatal
  • Wraparound (Children Services)
  • Adoption/Permanency
  • Older Adult Services
  • Whole Person Care (physical, behavioral health and social services)
  • Mental Health/Crisis Mental Health
  • Co-Occurring Diagnosis
  • Substance Use Disorders
  • Homeless Services
  • Employment
  • Criminogenic/Forensic

Entry level Minimum Qualifications:

Social Worker/Clinician - I

Experience: One year of providing mental health services, social service casework or counseling is desirable but not required. No experience needed!

Training: A Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in social work, psychology or counseling, which meets the eligibility requirements for licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by the State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners must be obtained by date of appointment.

Social Worker/Clinician - II

Experience: Two years of responsible casework or clinical experience performing duties similar to a Client Services Practitioner I with Placer County.

Training: A Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in social work, psychology or counseling which meets the eligibility requirements for licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by the State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
