My client, a top Hedge Fund is looking for an Accounting Associate to join and lead their expanding team. Our client works on a hybrid basis in the North Chicago Suburbs , offers competitive compensation, comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefit

Responsibilities

• Review and report daily trading activity, profit and loss, and fund performance.
• Work with our fund administrator to make sure monthly NAVs (Net Asset Values) are accurate and on time.
• Help prepare valuations of investments in line with accounting rules and internal policies.
• Assist in producing regular reports for investors, regulators, and internal teams.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax advisors during year-end and review financial statements.
• Support the trading team on special private deals and investment tracking.
• Suggest and implement ways to improve processes and internal controls

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Finance or Accounting with strong grades.
• 2-5 years of experience in accounting for private equity, private credit, hedge fund, or public accounting firm.
• CPA qualification or relevant finance/accounting experience in asset management.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with other financial systems is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive.
