Retail Customer Service Associate – FedEx Office Position overview: The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience, using consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This role is knowledge across print, signs & graphics, and shipping, and includes taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending FedEx Office products and services. The Store Consultant operates and maintains equipment, moves boxes and equipment, stocks materials, manages the production queue and output, handles complex projects, manages retail supply, and completes tasks based on priority. Responsibilities Follows supervisor instructions and assists other team members in performing store functions Assists in training store team members Demonstrates consultative behaviors in a retail environment to understand each customer’s individualized need Provides customer expertise in printing, signs & graphics and shipping product lines; recommends appropriate FedEx Office products and services Delivers an outstanding customer service experience by using consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions Resolves customer problems quickly and to the customer’s satisfaction Takes complex customer orders using order systems and provides accurate pricing information Prepares parcels for shipping, including wrapping, boxing, weighing, and labeling Sets up and operates printing, binding, and related equipment using customer-provided media Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly retail store Profit / Operational Excellence Maintains confidentiality of customer data and carefully handles documents, media, and packages Processes financial transactions at a POS, including cash handling Trains and stocks all store printing and shipping equipment and supplies for optimal performance Stays current on merchandising and ensures proper display of product and signage Prevents errors and waste; completes required financial paperwork and assists with financial reporting Follows standard operating procedures and safety, HR, and security policies Self-Management Performs multiple tasks concurrently Seeks opportunities to improve knowledge and skills within the store Able to operate with minimal supervision Adheres to FedEx Office standards as outlined in the team member handbook Other duties as needed or required Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 6+ months of specialized experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Essential Functions Ability to stand for the full shift (excluding meals) Ability to move and lift up to 55 pounds Ability to bend/twist at waist and knees Effective communication with customers, vendors, and team members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods Work with minimal supervision Maintain regular attendance at a physical location as required Preferred Qualifications Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as an estimate of the starting salary range for this role across all locations. Actual starting pay determined by experience, market level, location, and other factors. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
