Quality Control Technician - Afternoon Shift (Food Manufacturing)

Milton, NY (On-Site)

Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate:
$17.25 – $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday–Saturday | 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to support production quality and food safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Milton, NY. This role focuses on testing raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who is interested in quality assurance, lab testing, or food manufacturing processes.

Quality Control Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
• Conduct testing such as Brix, pH, acidity, fill levels, and product integrity checks
• Monitor production lines to ensure products meet company and customer specifications
• Complete inspections and document results accurately
• Identify quality issues and communicate findings to the QC/QA team
• Support troubleshooting and recommend process improvements
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards
• Maintain organized records and follow standard operating procedures
• Assist with routine calibrations, line checks, and plant quality programs
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree in science, food safety, or lab-related field preferred
• Experience in food manufacturing or quality control is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise tasks
• Basic math and data recording skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accuracy under pressure
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or French) is a plus

Work Environment & Requirements:

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature changes
• Role requires concentration, accuracy, and repetitive quality checks
• Must be reliable and able to maintain consistency in a fast-paced setting
