Mental Health Practitioner (MHP)

Starting Pay: $22.00 an hour

Schedule and Location: Lyric Lane (Fridley); Every Friday/Saturday/Sunday Evenings - 3:00pm to 11:00pm

TMH's Mental Health Practitioners (MHP's) provide support to clients in our Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) programs.

Mental Health Practitioner Responsibilities:

• Establish supportive and motivational relationships with residents
• Coach residents to utilize coping strategies and de-escalate crises
• Administer medications to residents
• Assist in preparing and serving meals to residents
• Support the cleanliness of common areas
• Ensure residents follow safety guidelines
• Collaborate with other staff members and interns

Mental Health Practitioner Requirements:

• Must have one to two years of experience, education, or combination in behavioral health, social work, psychology, counseling, nursing, or related area
• Must meet definition of Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker or Mental Health Practitioner per Department of Human Services licensing requirements
