Job Description

Manager, Americas Benefits Strategy & Enterprise Initiatives

At Danaher, our work saves lives. And each of us plays a part. Fueled by our culture of continuous improvement, we turn ideas into impact innovating at the speed of life.

Our 63,000+ associates work across the globe at more than 15 unique businesses within life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology.

Are you ready to accelerate your potential and make a real difference? At Danaher, you can build an incredible career at a leading science and technology company, where we're committed to hiring and developing from within. You'll thrive in a culture of belonging where you and your unique viewpoint matter.

This is a high-impact role for a benefits leader who loves turning strategy into action. As Manager, Americas Benefits Strategy & Enterprise Initiatives, you'll design and deliver health and welfare programs that truly matter balancing cost, compliance, innovation, and associate experience across the Americas.

With a primary focus on the U.S., and support for Canada, Brazil, and Mexico, you'll lead end-to-end benefit initiatives, partner deeply across HR and Finance, and use data to drive smarter decisions. If you thrive in complex environments, enjoy ownership, and want to shape the future of benefits at scale, this role is for you. You won't just manage programs - you'll shape strategy, influence leaders, and improve the everyday experience of associates across the Americas.

This is a role with visibility, ownership, and real impact, ideal for someone ready to lead, innovate, and grow.

You'll report to the Sr. Director, Benefits and be part of the Danaher Corporate Health & Welfare team within Total Rewards. This will be a fully remote role based in the USA.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Shape the Strategy: Support the development and execution of a multi-year Americas health and welfare strategy across medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, wellbeing, and time away programs, balancing associate experience with disciplined cost management and long-term sustainability. Develop data-driven business cases using benchmarking, ROI analysis, and risk assessment; partner in the ongoing enhancement of U.S. absence management programs (FTO, PTO, vacation, paid sick leave); and support benefits integration for M&A activity, including acquisitions, carveouts, and divestitures.
  • Lead Global Wellbeing & Enterprise Benefit Projects/Initiatives: Manage and scale global wellbeing programs, including EAP and targeted wellbeing solutions, while supporting broader enterprise benefit initiatives as the organization evolves. This may include contributing subject-matter expertise to emerging areas such as AI-related benefits capabilities, supporting efforts to align global time-away approaches and global minimum standards, and partnering to streamline benefit administration, policies, and communications across regions.
  • Lead with Influence: Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Inclusion & Belonging, Talent Acquisition, People Analytics, Internal Communications, and HR leaders to support the design and delivery of effective benefits programs. Provide guidance and coaching to benefit partners globally to build capability and consistency while respecting local requirements and serve as a trusted subject-matter expert and escalation resource for complex or non-standard issues.
  • Use Data to Drive Decisions & Continuous Improvement: Monitor cost and utilization trends using market benchmarks and engagement data, applying advanced analysis to identify risks and improvement opportunities. Maintain and leverage the U.S. Benefits Data Warehouse to translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations; conduct feasibility studies and analytic assessments with hands-on accountability for outcomes; apply a continuous-improvement mindset to benefit design, delivery, and communications; and define success metrics to ensure programs remain competitive, compliant, and easy for associates to use.
  • Be a Strong Program Steward: Oversee vendor performance, service delivery, and contractual compliance to ensure effective and reliable benefits administration. Lead vendor reviews, renewals, and negotiations, and develop meaningful associate insights through surveys, storytelling, and advanced analytics tools to inform program improvements and decision-making.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 7+ years of experience in benefits strategy and delivery, with deep expertise in U.S. Health & Welfare programs is required.
  • Experience managing benefits on a large-market scale, across multiple vendors and large employee populations is required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with comfort operating independently to lead complex workstreams from concept through delivery; consulting or professional services experience is a plus.
  • Able to communicate clearly and confidently with everyonefrom associates to C-suite executives.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • M&A transactions such as due diligence, integration and divestiture as it relates to benefits
  • Disability and absence programs
  • Exposure to global benefits, particularly Canada and LATAM
