The Corporate Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) supports DTO Loan Officers by providing high-touch borrower and transaction support services that supplement corporate processing. This role serves as a key liaison between the borrower and the originator, helping manage the loan process from application through submission to ensure a smooth, efficient experience. The LOA enables Loan Officers to focus on sales production by handling day-to-day loan coordination and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Loan Officer Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers throughout the loan process
Act as a liaison between clients and the Loan Officer
Communicate loan status updates to both borrowers and originators
Guide borrowers through key milestones, including application, submission, approval, and closing
Provide a high level of customer service to ensure a smooth borrower experience
Loan Application & Setup
Review initial loan applications for completeness and accuracy
Send introductory communications to borrowers outlining next steps
Assist borrowers in gathering required documentation to complete the loan file
Complete initial loan setup in Encompass or applicable systems
Disclosure & Compliance
Manage the initial disclosure process in a timely and compliant manner
Ensure loan documentation meets federal, state, and investor requirements
Maintain awareness and understanding of various loan program guidelines (Conventional, FHA, VA, etc.)
File Management & Coordination
Respond to borrower, branch, and internal inquiries related to loan transactions
Coordinate with processing and underwriting teams to support timely loan progression
Monitor loan files to help ensure deadlines and closing timelines are met
Assist in clearing conditions by obtaining required documentation from borrowers
Communication & Workflow Management
Maintain consistent and proactive communication with all parties involved in the transaction
Prioritize tasks and manage multiple loans simultaneously in a high-volume environment
Support overall workflow efficiency for DTO Loan Officers
Qualifications
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
23 years of experience in a mortgage or lending environment
Proficiency with mortgage systems such as Encompass, DU/LPA, and Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of loan program guidelines and mortgage processes

To maintain and ensure secure privacy of borrower (and other protected) information, an essential function of this job may require physical attendance in a defined office space. (i.e. branch or corporate office location). Employment with PRMI requires compliance with and adherence to all applicable mortgage and fair lending laws and regulations as well as PRMI policies. The ability to work extended hours may be required.
