Immediately hiring a Industrial Electrician in Berlin, NJ

We're hiring a Industrial Electrician for a premier Industrial Manufacturing Company in the Berlin NJ area.

7:00AM - 3:30PM@ Monday-Friday

Flexible Schedule rotating between 1st/3rd ( 4 on 3 off, 5 on, 7 off) 12 Hour 7am-7pm

Pay Rate $42.00

Job Description

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and performing preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment. You will play a crucial role in assembling and installing new or repaired electrical circuits, systems, and equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and document electrical equipment and machinery.
• Perform electrical testing using tools such as meggar, voltmeter, ammeter, and ground locating.
• Configure, commission, troubleshoot, and start up AC/DC Drives, PLC, HMI, and industrial lighting equipment.
• Read, comprehend, and mark up basic electrical prints for installations.
• Start, stop, maintain, and assist in the installation and repair of generating and power distribution equipment.
• Dismantle and assemble electrical motors and allied equipment.
• Install and repair electrical conduit and cable, including connections, controls, and grounding.
• Complete work orders, requisitions, inspection reports, and document material usage.

Skills

• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience with 480V, AC/DC Drives, PLC (Programmable Logic Control), and HMI (Human Machine Interface).
• Knowledge of DCS (Distributive Control System) installation.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Electrical Journeyman certification or 5+ years of verified experience as an industrial maintenance electrician.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled and can be hot or humid. Surfaces may be wet, dusty, and uneven, with high noise levels, vibrations, and fumes. The job requires adherence to PPE protocols, including wearing steel toes, ear protection, eye protection, gloves, and head protection in certain areas.
