Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up merchandise to and from customers primarily within the local Florida area
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order
• Follow all safety procedures, especially when transporting dangerous goods
• Inspect and secure cargo using appropriate equipment such as ropes, chains, and covers
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Operate a forklift as needed for loading and unloading cargo
• Work in cold temperature environments as required by certain deliveries
• Be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and overtime as needed

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Basic conversational English skills
• Must be able to drive vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions
• Experience driving trucks
• Experience operating a forklift
• Ability to lift and carry loads between 50 and 70 pounds
• Ability to work in cold environments
• Availability to work from Monday to Sunday, starting at 6:00 am, with one or two days off during the week
• Willingness to work overtime as required
