We are seeking a skilled  Commercial Journeyman Electrician with sign installation and service experience to join our growing team. This position involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in commercial environments, with a strong focus on illuminated signage, channel letters, monument signs, and related electrical components.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems
• Install and service illuminated signs, LED retrofits, channel letters, pole signs, and monument signs
• Perform electrical tie-ins and ensure compliance with local and national codes
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Operate bucket trucks and lifts safely (when required)
• Conduct site surveys and ensure proper load calculations
• Maintain tools, equipment, and job documentation
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Required: Valid TDLR Journeyman Electrician License 
• Proven experience in commercial electrical work
• Experience installing and servicing commercial signage
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Experience operating bucket trucks and aerial lifts preferred
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with LED retrofits and sign conversions
• Knowledge of sign permitting and inspections
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime
• Strong communication and customer service skills

On-Call / Emergency Response

·      Employee must be willing and able to participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule. This includes responding to after-hours service calls during nights, weekends, and holidays when scheduled.

Work Schedule and Project Commitment

·      Employee must be able to work extended hours as needed to support project completion deadlines. This may include evenings, nights, and weekends when required. When not assigned to emergency on-call duty, employees are expected to remain on-site or continue working until scheduled project tasks are completed.
