Busperson Steakhouse Part-Time

Responsible for serving water to customers and for cleaning and re-setting the tables for the use of the next customers

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Serves drinks and/or water to guests and/or employees seated in the assigned section of the restaurant.
• Removes all the dirty dishes, glasses, silverware from tables and brings them to the Bussers station.
• Cleans and wipes the tables, chairs and booths in the assigned section of the restaurant.
• Resets the tables and booths for the use of the next customers.
• Transports dirty dishes, silverware and glasses to the kitchen using the bus cart as the need arises.
• Empties trash, collects and turns in linens.
• Sees to it the Bussers station is well stocked with dishes, silverware, glasses and supplies needed in the restaurant.
• Sees to it the brewed coffee is also available to the customers. Grinds coffee and refills the coffee maker as the need arises.
• Assists the Food Servers in accommodating the needs and requests of the guests.
• Maintains the general cleanliness of the work area.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications include:

• Ability to communicate in English effectively.
• Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, walking and lifting and/or moving objects up to 40 pounds.
• Work area is usually exposed to noise, dust and cigarette smoke

Education and/or experience includes:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Certificates, licenses, registrations include:

• Must obtain a Health Card.

Language skills must be able to effectively communicate in English.

Mathematical skills include ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer skills must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
