In this full-time, first-shift position at a thriving community hospital nestled in the vibrant Twin Cities area, you will play a crucial role in producing transformative diagnostic results that save lives. You'll collaborate with dedicated colleagues in an environment that prizes not only professional growth but also your well-being.

Description - What You'll Be Doing
  • Conduct a variety of routine and specialized laboratory tests-delving into chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond-following established protocols.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of results by analyzing outcomes, troubleshooting discrepancies, and performing essential maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Support specimen collection processes and prepare samples for efficient testing as required.
  • Carefully document all laboratory procedures, mentor new team members or students, and help maintain the highest quality standards within the lab.
  • Uphold a clean and safe workspace while adhering to strict regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health qualification alongside ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
Certifications
  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), to be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Maintain current certification throughout your employment with us.
Skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for seamless collaboration within healthcare teams.
  • Proficient in making independent judgments and solving problems in high-pressure or challenging situations.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail, especially in maintaining quality control and thorough documentation.
Benefits
  • Attractive competitive salary based on your experience and qualifications.
  • A comprehensive suite of market-competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Generous time-off policies starting from day one, with additional vacation and holiday benefits based on prior experience.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development support.
  • A robust total rewards package centered on your overall wellness and satisfaction.

Your Work Makes a Difference Every Day

Your contributions in the laboratory are instrumental to doctors' decisions and patient care. Each slide you analyze could confirm a critical diagnosis or reveal a metabolic anomaly before symptoms arise. Your diligence ensures that healthcare providers and patients alike can rely on your results to make informed decisions.

A Community Built on Teamwork

This isn't merely a job; it's part of a dynamic community. You'll be immersed in a culture that embraces continuous improvement, where periodic in-lab meetings, skills refreshers, and process enhancement initiatives create an environment where ideas are cherished. You'll have the opportunity to serve on committees, share innovative solutions, and guide new team members as they grow into their roles.

A Thriving City: Where Culture Meets Nature

Envision a city that harmonizes urban vibrancy with natural beauty-the Twin Cities boast charming parks, lively farmers markets, and a calendar filled with music and art festivals. Local cafes brim with friendly faces, and the relaxed atmosphere is perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Your days off might be spent cycling alongside the river or indulging in the local craft beer scene at a nearby brewery. The community thrives on connection, with neighbors ready to lend a hand-an aspect that defines the spirit of healthcare here.

With a plethora of unique shops, scenic walking trails, and venues showcasing local theater and arts, there's no shortage of activities to explore-from gentle birdwatching to thrilling city marathons. Commuting is easy and straightforward, presenting you with a balanced lifestyle that makes living more enjoyable. Housing costs remain reasonable, allowing your salary to stretch further towards experiences-lakefront dining, weekend getaways, and local games that bring the community together.

Creating Impact, Cultivating Greatness

In this region, every lab professional is a cornerstone of community health. Your impact resonates widely: faster diagnoses, improved patient care, and a thriving healthcare ecosystem. Heartfelt "thank you" notes from grateful patients underscore their appreciation not just for accurate lab results but for the compassionate care you provide-shining a light on the essential role you play in timely medical intervention.

Your Next Chapter Awaits

When you seek more than just a job-when your drive stems from a desire to make a difference, invest in your personal development, and impact your community-you'll find all that and more in this role. Whether your journey is beginning or you come with rich experience, you'll discover a nurturing environment filled with support, challenges, and a wealth of opportunities.
